Many are curious to know why did Tanner Frick leave The Voice‘s latest episode, which aired on Monday. Frick, a maintenance foreman in his regular life, entered Season 26 to make his passion for music come true. However, when he was summoned for the latest challenge in the episode, it was revealed that he left. So, what exactly happened to him?
Here are all the details.
Why did Tanner Frick leave The Voice?
The reason behind Frick’s abrupt exit from The Voice is not yet known. Frick’s recent exit came as an extreme shock to the judges, contestants, and audience. He was supposed to participate in the recent knockout challenge. However, he eventually pulled out at the last moment with the reason remaining unknown.
The Voice S26E12 featured the first 3-Way Knockouts night. The three coaches, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dog, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire, were required to pick three contestants from their respective teams. The pairs of three then competed as solos in the sing-offs. The contestants emerging victorious will pave their way to the playoffs.
While the three judges were able to make teams for the sing-offs, Bublé struggled to do so as one of his team members quietly exited. Host Carson Daly then revealed to him that Frick from his team has seemingly quit the show after the rehearsals. Therefore, Bublé was only left with two of his team members: Cameron Wright and Sloane Simon.
Albeit Frick had given no word on his sudden exit, he did share a cryptic post on social media. His post read, “Ain’t nobody want me anyway.” After reading this, fans have expressed concerns about what exactly transpired between him and the show (via Parade).
According to NBC, Frick always had a passion for music but growing up he was often told it wasn’t a safe option as a career choice. However, he kept pursuing his passion, having learned guitar from his stepbrother. He used to perform on various small occasions like birthdays and in bars. However, he never got a big platform to perform. Moreover, he also remained busy with his full-time foreman job of overseeing Manchester’s sewer lines and pumps. Nevertheless, his wife pushed him to pursue music.
