On the Oct. 10 episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg slammed former President Donald Trump for calling her “filthy dirty” and “disgusting” at a recent rally.
Making light of the Republican’s rude comments, Goldberg and the cast of The View on Thursday, walked out to Christina Aguilera’s hit song “Dirrty” right before the 68-year-old actress lit into the controversial politician for insulting her at his rally on Oct. 9.
“So, we walked out to ‘Dirrty’ by Christina Aguilera, because it’s one of the words that you-know-who used when he was talking about me, in particular, but he was talking about us at his rallies.”
Donald Trump called Goldberg and her co-hosts – composed of Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin – “really dumb people,” a jab following their recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. He went on to poke fun at a stand-up comedy gig Goldberg did back in the day when he hired her for an event at one of his casinos. According to the crass Republican, the Hollywood star’s routine was “filthy dirty” and “disgusting.” He also complained that she had a “foul mouth.”

Goldberg hit back hard at the insulting comments.
“I was filthy, and stand on that fact. I have always been filthy, and you knew that when you hired me,” she told Trump during The View on Thursday. “I headlined, babe, at your casino, which I might’ve continued to play had you not run it into the ground,” she added. “How dumb are you? You hired me four times,” Goldberg queried, “You didn’t know what you were getting? How dumb are you?”
Then, Hostin jumped in to share her thoughts on Trump’s mean comments.
“Donald Trump I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis. You help us do our jobs, and I’m so appreciative,” the 55-year-old lawyer said, before highlighting Trump’s extensive criminal record including the conviction from his hush-money scandal handed down in May.
Hostin remarked that while she might not have spent as much time in a courtroom as Trump, he’s “always welcome” to join the show and address the co-hosts’ questions directly—unless sitting near a prosecutor makes him “nervous.”
Social media reacts.
In the YouTube comments section, fans enthusiastically praised the cast for holding Trump accountable and calling the former president out on his behavior.
“The moment ‘Dirty’ came on, I knew what was about to go down LMAO. You go girls! The orange Jabba the hut was so triggered! Sunny specially owned and absolutely devoured his behind,” wrote one user.
Another netizen penned, “Classiest and most satisfying shade delivered by ANY show to date.”
A third commented, “Any self-proclaimed ‘man’ publicly degrades a woman is a small-minded petty individual. That’s exactly who Donny is. It baffles me that some people still believe Donny is fit for the office of the president even with all the contrary evidence to contradict the notion otherwise.”
What do you think of Whoopi Goldberg’s epic clapback? Thoughts?
