There was a certain blonde missing from this morning’s episode of The View. Sara Haines, who typically sits between Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, was noticeably absent from today’s slate of Hot Topic segments.
The ladies kicked off the broadcast by strutting out to their new theme song — which, might I add, is certainly growing on me. But before they all sat down, Behar noticed that one chair was missing from the desk.
“Where’s Sara?” she appeared to ask as she took her seat between Goldberg and Sunny Hostin.
So, where was Haines? Was she out on vacation? Was she feeling under the weather? Here’s everything we know about her whereabouts this morning:
Where is Sara Haines today?
While no one revealed exactly why Haines missing, Goldberg did take an opportunity at the top of the episode to address her absence.
“Welcome to The View, y’all,” she said, before adding, “I’m just gonna start out with the fact that Sara is out today, as you can tell because Joy is closer to me than normal.”
Behar then quipped, “I’m always so close to you, my darling!” as she leaned in to hug the longtime moderator.
DECIDER has reached out to The View for more information on Haines’ absence, but did not hear back by time of publication.
When will Sara Haines be back on The View?
Haines isn’t one who typically misses multiple days of work. While she’ll likely return for Thursday’s (Oct. 17) taping, no one on The View has confirmed when she will be back.
However, those who watched this morning’s episode until the end did get to see a glimpse of Haines, who was present for a pre-recorded “View Your Deal” segment.
