Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is no stranger to winning awards and earning honors, but this past Saturday, the spotlight was put on her teammate, Aliyah Boston.
Boston returned home to Worcester, Mass., for a special ceremony at Worcester Academy, where she became the first athlete in school history to have her jersey retired.
The 6-foot-5 forward had a career to remember there, earning Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year honors three times (2017, 2018, 2019) and leading her team to two consecutive New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A championships.
A former five-star recruit, Boston also earned All-American honors and had the privilege of playing in top high school events like the Jordan Brand Classic and the McDonald’s All-American Game.

After the ceremony, Boston took to social media to share some photos with her followers.
“feeling blessed to get my jersey retired 🤍,” she captioned the post.
Clark, as the supportive teammate she is, left a message for Boston in the comment section.
“Yass sista,” Clark wrote.
Boston and Clark’s bond goes beyond their time as teammates with the Indiana Fever. Their friendship began in 2019, when they both played for Team USA at the FIBA Under-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.
Now, as teammates in the WNBA, they’re not just friends — they’re two of the league’s brightest rising stars.
