Caitlin Clark’s rise over the past couple of years has been nothing short of phenomenal. After setting all sorts of records during her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes, the 6-foot guard took her talents to the WNBA, where she continued her meteoric rise to superstardom.
At this point, there’s no denying that the “Caitlin Clark effect” is a real thing. One of the biggest benefactors of the same is the WNBA, which according to a recent survey, has emerged as the fastest-growing brand in the United States.
In a recent study released by global decision intelligence company Morning Consult, the WNBA topped the likes of Ben & Jerry’s, Microsoft Copilot, YouTube Shorts and Disney+, to name a few, as the brand that has had the most growth in 2024 in terms of its purchasing influence on consumers.
It’s no coincidence that the WNBA’s rise coincided with Clark’s arrival, and this is exactly what the fans have been saying after hearing the latest news about the league.
“The WNBA was ranked the fastest growing brand of 2024. The Caitlin Clark effect,” a post on X read.
“People will say it’s because of other rookies lmfaooo. It’s because of Caitlin Clark!!” said another.
“CC stimulus package just hits different 🤷🏾♂️” reacted a fan.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark
“The WNBA brand is now an alias for the Caitlin Clark League (CCL),” read a comment.
“Caitlin Clark making the WNBA into a profitable business. Didn’t Jersey sales go up 500%?” pointed out a user.
“MOTION 🔥🔥🔥 SHE is the league,” another declared.
As one of the posts above pointed out, one piece of tangible data that proves Clark’s impact on the league is how jersey sales shot up to 500% at the start of the season compared to the same period last year. Again, it’s no coincidence that this happened right around the time Clark first arrived in the WNBA.
The best part for the league is that they will continue to reap the benefits of the famed “Caitlin Clark effect” for the years to come.
