James Franco revealed to the world last week that his 20-year friendship with fellow actor Seth Rogen seems to have come to an end.

The Pineapple Express star told Variety in an interview that his “guess” is that his long-running friendship with Rogen is now “over” following his sexual misconduct lawsuit.

However, Franco claims that he attempted to reconcile his friendship with Rogen.

“I haven’t talked to Seth,” Franco told the outlet.

“I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over. And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me,” he concluded.

Now, as per the Daily Mail, Rogen has responded to the now-public revelation.

According to the outlet’s sources, there is “no world” where the two Pineapple Express stars will reconcile their friendship as Rogen refuses to associate himself with somebody accused of “horrible things.”

“There is no world where Seth will be friends with James Franco ever again,” they said.

“The friendship and work they did together was amazing,” they continued.

However, they added that “Seth had to separate himself from James” in order “to move forward in his own life and career.”

The insider further explained: “Seth doesn’t want to be connected with anyone that has been accused of horrible things.”

“He had to drop James cold turkey which hurt.”
