With her rookie season behind her, Reese is in the news pretty often, popping up just about everywhere. The former LSU star also runs a new podcast, ‘Unapologetically Angel,’ which has kept her pretty busy.

Reese, whose team missed out on the playoffs for the first time since 2018 in her first year on the roster, was recently slammed by Joe Budden. The rapper and podcast host compared the forward to WNBA Rookie of the YearCaitlin Clark, who has kept herself out of the limelight since her own campaign ended.

Angel Reese Slams Critics of Her Recent Shooting Performance

“I’ve seen Angel Reese wildin’ out, I don’t know if I’ve seen her on Wild N’ Out,” Budden said. “Angel Reese won’t sit her [expletive] down… She won’t go sit down somewhere for a second. There’s value in it. This is going to sound like I’m telling women what to do. But I ain’t.

“Whoever [Reese] got is telling her to go pop up everywhere. That’s not what Caitlin Clark’s people are saying, not to make it racial… We just on some star rookie [expletive] now. All season, [Reese] keep[s] putting [her]self in the same box as Caitlin Clark, but there’s more than basketball.”

Angel Reese Had Some Heat For Fans Before Joe Budden Took Aim At Her

Prior to Budden’s comments, Reese attacked critics who suggested she wasn’t paying enough attention to basketball.

“If it ain’t on camera i guess it ain’t happening,” she said in a tweet.

The national champion will look to close the gap on Clark in year two and was told exactly what she needs to do to get better by NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade, who was a recent guest on her show.

It’s up to time to tell now.
