Giannis Antetokounmpo and his partner, Mariah Riddlesprigger, are married!
The Milwaukee Bucks center tied the knot with Riddlesprigger in Greece, where Antetokounmpo was born, according to a Sept. 23 interview with People.
“We were able to have all of the people that were close to us, our family,” he told the outlet. “Most of my teammates, Bucks teammates, ex-teammates… they were there.”
TODAY.com has reached out to Antetokounmpo’s rep and has not immediately heard back.
Antetokounmpo noted that his “friends and business partners” were also in attendance, and also mentioned their kids were there. The couple shares two sons, Liam Charles, 4, and Maverick Shai, 3, and their baby girl, Eva Brooke.
While recalling their time together in Greece, Antetokounmpo said, “We had an incredible few days there together. We had fun.”
“It was a celebration of our love. Now we’ve become one. And I’m happy that we did it,” he continued. “I feel like a lot of people had fun.”
On Sept. 10, Riddlesprigger shared photos on Instagram of what appeared to be a bridal celebration. In the pics, she wore an all-white outfit, along with a veil that was embroidered with the words “bride to be.”
She also shared a few snaps of herself standing in front of a sign that said “Mrs.”
“No better feeling ,” she captioned the pics.

Mariah Riddlesprigger has a clothing line
In 2021, Riddlesprigger launched her own clothing line called Sincerely, Mariah, which features pieces that are embroidered with uplifting messages like “Undeniably worthy, unapologetically me.”
She told NBC’s affiliate station WTMJ in Milwaukee that her mom’s words growing up had an impact on the inspirational messages.
“She always reminds me that you’re good enough, you’re beautiful enough, and don’t let anyone take that away from you,” she explained. “It’s just a reminder that you’re worthy because of who you are, undeniably, no matter what.”
She also noted that Sincerely, Mariah, is for both men and women.
“Just seeing these expectations that are placed upon (Giannis), and seeing what people can say online that don’t even know him. Just different things like that, and I always want him to be who he is and I love him for who he is,” she said.
Mariah Riddlesprigger finds ‘purpose’ in being a mother
Before her middle and youngest child, Maverick and Eva, came into the picture, Riddlesprigger took to Instagram to talk about her life as a mom of one and she said her son Liam is her “purpose.”
“’My son is my purpose.’ I know it’s a cliché statement, but it’s the truth!” she said in a post on May 12, 2021. “Becoming a mom has helped me realize what I am capable of; physically, mentally and emotionally.
“My son has taught me more about patience, perseverance and passion in these past 15 months than I have ever known,” she continued. “But most importantly he’s opened my eyes to my true potential. I’ve made it through sleepless nights, teething and the beginning of toddler tantrums, and at this point I feel invincible.”
Mariah Riddlesprigger used to play volleyball
According to Rice University’s athletics site, Riddlesprigger was listed as part of its women’s volleyball roster from 2010 to 2013. In high school, she played volleyball and was named team captain and team MVP in her senior year, per Rice University’s website.

Mariah Riddlesprigger is a philanthropist
Riddlesprigger is passionate about helping others.
“Since college, it’s always been about giving back,” she told People in a December 2023 interview. “When I was in college, I wanted to work for NBA Cares or a nonprofit, but I just didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do.”
Prior to having her first child, Liam, Riddlesprigger realized how costly diapers can become.
“Just because we have the money to pay for diapers doesn’t mean it’s still not a shocking experience,” she explained to the outlet. “I’m not thinking about myself in that. I’m thinking about other people. This is a basic need that all children should be clean.”
Instead of having a baby shower for her second son, Maverick, Riddlesprigger and Antetokounmpo decided to have a diaper and fund drive, per People.
Fast-forward to their drive in 2023, Riddlesprigger said it was a “no-brainer” for her to partner with Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), the Antetokounmpo family’s nonprofit that aims to “unlock the potential inside every person — no matter where they start out or what difficulties they face,” per its official website.
Mariah Riddlesprigger admires Giannis Antetokounmpo’s work ethic
Riddlesprigger has praised her husband’s work ethic on social media.
In a May 2020 post, she said Antetokounmpo is “one of the hardest working people I have ever met.”
“Seeing his drive to become the best at what he does has given me so much more motivation to become the best version of myself!” she noted.
“Most people get to see his progress/work season to season and game to game, but I get a front row seat to his progress and work ethic daily and it’s truly unbelievable how much work he puts in,” she continued.
