Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington turned heads after ditching her trademark blond hair for a rose brown color.
She made the bold transformation ahead of her anticipated participation in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league, which will tip off in January. Aside from Carrington, numerous WNBA stars have also signed up in the new tournament founded by New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier.
Meanwhile, Carrington’s longtime girlfriend, Indiana Fever forward NaLyssa Smith, has been plying her trade in China. She signed with Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank of the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association.
Despite being miles apart, Smith and Carrington, who started dating when they were teammates at Baylor, are making sure that they profess their love and admiration for one another.

Carrington posted several pictures of her on X to flex her new look. Of course, Smith was all for it, posting a seven-word remark.
The 26-year-old Carrington swiftly responded to the post.
“Thank you my loveee,” commented the Sun star.
Carrington and Smith had opposing stints in the WNBA this season. Carrington enjoyed a breakout year with the Sun as she was named the Most Improved Player and selected to the All-Defensive First Team.
Smith, on the other hand, saw her playing time drop with the Fever despite coming off a strong sophomore season. She averaged career-lows of 24.8 minutes, 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
She is rumored to be on the chopping block with one year left in her contract.
