Muhammad Ali’s ex-wife, Belinda Boyd, has revealed a surprising political stance ahead of the upcoming U.S. elections.

Boyd, who changed her name to Khalilah Ali due to her union with the boxing legend, is voting for Donald Trump, which will come as a shock to many given her background.
This isn’t founded on speculation, either; she said so herself.
“I’m voting for Trump, I don’t care what nobody believes, I don’t care what nobody says, I don’t care what you think, whatever,” she told YouTuber Shea Filling in a recent interview. “I’ve studied what Trump wants to do. I’ve studied what Trump wants to make change. I saw what Trump has tried to do. And people who just want to be a hater, they don’t get information.
“A guy asked me the other day, ‘Why? Why you voting for Trump?’ And I told him why. I gave him five reasons.”
“I stand up and say what I believe in,” she added. “You don’t like it, I don’t care. That’s me. You got a problem with that, you got a problem with me.”
Muhammad Ali’s Ex-Wife Was Raised In The NOI
Khalilah was brought up in the Nation of Islam, with her father serving as an officer in the Fruit of Islam, the Nation’s paramilitary security wing, under Elijah Muhammad.
She met Muhammad Ali, previously Cassius Clay, for the first time as a 10-year-old girl. They were wed as part of an arranged marriage when she was 17.
The marriage lasted nearly a decade. Muhammad and Khalilah had four children: Maryum, twins Jamillah and Rasheda, and Muhammad Ali Jr.
The 74-year-old claims to wear her Trump hat daily, though half of her family are Democrats.
“I wear my Trump hat every day,” she declared. “I don’t care about what you think. Half my family are Democrats. Do I care? No. But we still family.”
