Joe Rogan previously highlighted how Kamala Harris has gone from villain to hero on his podcast but could now have the presidential candidate on his show.
Joe Rogan could host Kamala Harris on his No. 1 podcast
Donald Trump has appeared on several podcasts as he looks to sway large audiences ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election, but his rival Kamala Harris may appear on the biggest show on the internet. According to Reuters, Harris could appear on the “Joe Rogan Experience” with his main demographic being young men a major asset.
Joe Rogan, who has the No. 1 podcast in the United States with millions of monthly listeners, could offer Harris a major platform ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5. Harris campaign officials met with Rogan’s team but a future podcast is yet to be confirmed.
Rogan is popular due to his honest opinions online and rarely holding back about something he’s passionate about, including his political stance. That being said, Rogan has never endorsed either Trump or Harris and has spoken both positively and negatively about both candidates.
However, in an interview with author Michael Malice in July, Rogan mocked how Harris is currently being portrayed compared to how society viewed her in the past. Rogan said: “Everybody forever was like ‘Kamala Harris is the worst vice president, she’s the least popular vice president of all time.’ And then in a moment, a moment in time, all of a sudden she’s our solution.
“‘She’s our hero, everybody’s with her. All these social media posts about her. I tried Googling a negative story on her and you won’t find one. So, ta-da.'”
Rogan then went on to say that he believes Harris will be the first woman to become president as many people see her as a better alternative to Trump. Rogan has also admitted that Trump wanted to appear on his podcast, but he’s rejected the opportunity several times.
“I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once – I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him,” Rogan said.
While Rogan’s hesitance to offer Trump a platform may suggest that he’s against the Republican candidate, but that doesn’t mean that the podcaster felt he did a bad job while formerly acting as president. In an episode with comedian Tom Segura on Sept. 11, Rogan said: “Everyone’s saying he’s going to be a dictator. Well, he wasn’t a dictator.
“He was the president. He actually was the president for four years and the economy really did well and he really did try to cut some of the ——– down that’s going on in this country.”
Before the 2020 election, Rogan declared that Bernie Sanders should be the Democratic candidate over Joe Biden. “I’d rather vote for Trump than [Biden],” said Rogan. “I don’t think [Biden] can handle anything.
“You’re relying entirely on his cabinet. If you want to talk about an individual leader who can communicate, he can’t do that.”
With Harris acting as vice president to Biden, it’s unclear how he truly feels about her, but a podcast would clear things up.
