“Fake A** Mfs”: Damian Lillard Fires Back At Portland Trail Blazers Fan Page Mocking Milwaukee Bucks Struggles

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard had a heated response to a Portland Trail Blazers fan page on Instagram. On Tuesday, the eight-time NBA All-Star blasted the fan page after it criticized the point guard’s recent struggles with the Bucks, even calling the content “fake.”

The Instagram user “@blazernationcp” shared a meme expressing their apathy toward Lillard’s troubles, saying that they didn’t concern the Portland fans anymore. Lillard played with the Blazers from 2012 to 2023, and was their sixth-overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Lillard, offended by the meme, bluntly responded to the post.

“Fake a** mfs,” Damian Lillard said.

Damian Lillard was a cornerstone for Portland, leading them to eight playoff appearances. He averaged 25.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in his 11-year stint with the Blazers. He also became the 2012 NBA Rookie of the Year and a seven-time All-Star with the franchise. He was also honored as part of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team while in Portland.

Damian Lillard’s hit game-winner over the Houston Rockets despite his current struggles

Following a three-game absence due to a head injury he suffered against the Boston Celtics, Damian Lillard returned to the Milwaukee Bucks’ lineup on Monday against the Houston Rockets and managed to clinch a 101-100 victory.

“Dame Time” finished with 18 points, though he only made six of his 18 shots from the field and missed all of his six three-point attempts. He also grabbed four defensive rebounds and dished 10 assists.

Despite his underwhelming stats, the Bucks still relied on Lillard for the game winner with seconds left on the clock. He clinched the win with a layup over Rockets’ Dillon Brooks.

In a postgame interview, Damian Lillard talked about his mindset leading up to the deciding moment of the game.

“Down the stretch, I saw that it was a back-and-forth game and I hadn’t gotten it going pretty much all night, but I know that in those moments you got to stay aggressive, you know, you got to keep attacking,” the eight-time NBA All-Star said.

The star point guard also talked about his struggles.

“Some of my layups were running in and out, threes not going in, but you just got to impose your will. You got to be who you are,” he continued. “I missed a step-back, the next time, Giannis (Antetokounmpo) was pushing it, and he was looking right at me, so I knew he was trying to get me the ball.

“At the time, I knew that I got to make a play, and I got to make it with confidence, and whatever happens—sometimes it goes, sometimes it doesn’t, and tonight, it went [in].”

The Bucks will begin their three-game home campaign on Wednesday, first hosting the Chicago Bulls. They will then host the Indiana Pacers on Friday, and then the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
