Dave Coulier still cherishes Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen despite the siblings distancing themselves from “Full House.”
In an exclusive interview with The Post, Coulier, 64, revealed that he hasn’t kept in touch with the famous twins after they decided not to return to Netflix’s “Fuller House.”
He did, however, reunite with the twins at their late co-star Bob Saget’s funeral in January 2022.

“When we saw them at Bob’s funeral and his memorial, it was just wonderful,” said Coulier. “That’s the only word I think of. It was wonderful to see Mary-Kate and Ashley.”
The Olsen twins, 38, did not reprise their shared role as Michelle Tanner in the “Full House” reboot. They retired from acting and founded fashion brands the Row in 2006 and Elizabeth and James in 2007.

But they made sure to spend time with the cast, including Coulier, when their TV dad Saget passed away at age 65.
Describing his reunion with the twins, Coulier recalled, “I have a picture somewhere where John Stamos has the Dumbo from Disneyland in his house, and it’s from the ride. And so I went and I sat in there and I started playing around, and all of a sudden, Mary-Kate came over and she sat next to me, and then all of a sudden, Ashley sat next to me.”

“The three of us were in there just laughing and being kids,” Coulier added. “It was wonderful.”
Coulier is set to appear at 90s Con in Florida this weekend with other “Full House” alums including Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin.
Unsurprisingly, the Olsen twins won’t be there. They’ve continued to keep their distance from their “Full House” family — a decision that Coulier understands and respects.
“I don’t know how much I would bond with people when I was 8 months old,” he said about the sisters. “So for them, I think they share a different perspective. And they have a different retrospective about the show than we do.”
“I mean, they were in diapers,” he noted. “They have a different perspective about everything that happened during that time. And we understand that and we love them dearly.”

Coulier also said he’s proud of how far Mary-Kate and Ashley have come since knowing them as babies.
“They’ve had quite a journey and I respect their journey. Being kid actors at such a young age, that is a really difficult life for a kid,” he said. “And we got to see it firsthand.”
Coulier went on, “So for all of our kids, they’ve had their ups and downs. But we’re really proud of them. When you shake it all up and you come out the other side and they’re okay, that’s a really nice thing.”
Mary-Kate got married to French banker Olivier Sarkozy in 2012. They got divorced in 2021.
Ashley, for her part, married artist Louis Eisner in December 2022. They welcomed their son, Otto, last year.
