Charles Barkley has never been shy about sharing his honest take on TV. The player-turned-analyst recently even voiced his frustration with TNT’s handling of the NBA rights negotiations. Barkley recently turned his head towards the Golden State Warriors before their win against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Recently, Barkley didn’t hold back when talking about the Golden State Warriors. Before their win against the New Orleans Pelicans, Barkley had some blunt words for the Warriors during the NBA TNT Tipoff show. As the show went to a commercial break, Barkley took a dig at Golden State.
“Yo man, Golden State [Warriors] stinks,” Barkley said.
The Warriors have had a mixed start to their season, holding a 3-1 record after their victory over the Pelicans on Tuesday night. Before that, they faced a tough loss against the Los Angeles Clippers, their first regular-season defeat after an undefeated preseason. That game was especially difficult as Stephen Curry exited with a left ankle injury after rolling it twice.
Charles Barkley Blasts Pelicans After Warriors’ Comeback Victory
After the Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, Charles Barkley didn’t hold back on his criticism of the Pelicans’ performance. Barkley expressed his disappointment with the Pelicans’ inability to hold their early lead.
“I’m not gonna overreact. That was embarrassing for the Pelicans. There’s no Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy. Man, they got Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, and CJ McCollum,” Barkley said. “They got their most important three players. To have a 20-point lead and lose by 20, that was embarrassing.”
The Warriors played the game without Stephen Curry. Though the Pelicans were leading the game in the first few minutes, soon the Warriors halted their momentum and snatched a 124-106 win with stellar performances from Buddy Hield and Brandin Podziemski.
For the Pelicans, it’s a reminder that they need to stay consistent if they want to be competitive in the Western Conference. The Warriors will encounter the Pelicans again on Wednesday night.
