The ATP has confirmed their 2026 schedule, with one event to be scrapped.

The 2026 ATP Tour calendar has been announced, with one tournament getting the axe.

The Moselle Open, an ATP 250 event in Metz which usually takes place in early November, has been scrapped.

Two other tournaments have been moved, while a new stop has been added to the schedule after Wimbledon.

The ATP 250 in Metz, which was founded in 2003, is set to be removed from the ATP calendar. This year’s edition, which takes place from November 2, will be the last.

The men’s tennis tour confirmed the Moselle Open would not return in 2026. Novak Djokovic won his second-ever career title at the tournament, while Frenchman Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are among the past champions. Cameron Norrie also reached the final last year, losing to Benjamin Bonzi.

In a statement, tournament organisers said: “The ATP Tour has just announced the 2026 calendar which includes a total of 60 tournaments in 31 countries.

“The MOSELLE OPEN will not be present in this 2026 calendar. The SAS Open de Moselle and its Management Committee receive this decision with sadness and injustice after 22 years of existence.”

Another French ATP 250 event has been moved. The Open 13 in Marseille will take place in October instead of February. And the Stockholm Open is set to be pushed back from October to November.

While one tournament has been given the boot, another is set to return to the calendar. The Estoril ATP 250 was abolished in 2025 but the competition will return next year.

The Portuguese event – also part of the lower 250-point tier – will be staged from July 20, 2026, a week after Wimbledon concludes.

The tour is also standing by the extended Masters 1000 format. From 2025, seven of the nine Masters will be staged over 12 days, with the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open moving to 96-player draws.

This will be the same in 2026, with the Monte Carlo Masters and the Paris Masters remaining as the only seven-day iterations of the top tournaments.

The ATP Finals is set to begin on November 15 in a yet-to-be announced host city. Last year, organisers confirmed the season-ending championships would remain in Italy.

However, they did not name the city. The tournament has been staged in Turin since 2021. The Davis Cup Finals, an ITF tournament, will also move to Italy.

The 2026 season is set to start on January 2 with the United Cup and ATP 250 events in Brisbane and Hong Kong. The regular season will conclude with the ATP Finals on November 22 while the Next Gen Finals for players aged 20-and-under takes place in December.
