There was a rumour of Angel dating Jalen Duren of the NBA’s Pistons
Chicago Sky WNBA basketball player Angel Reese, right, poses with her brother Julian Reese, NCAA college basketball player from the University of Maryland AP
Angel Reese (22) has risen to stardom, her fame stemming from her success in the NCAA, where she led LSU to the national championship last year, defeating Caitlin Clark and Iowa. This year, she was selected with the seventh pick in the most-watched WNBA Draft in history by the Chicago Sky. Her impressive production and multiple record-setting performances might have earned her Rookie of the Year honors in any other year, but with Caitlin Clark as her competition, the odds were stacked against her.
Angel Reese Opens Up About Her Perfect Match
Amid her growing fame, rumors about who Angel Reese might be dating have become a hot topic. Some speculate that she is dating Pistons player Jalen Duren, but Reese has remained silent on the matter. On the latest episode of her podcast “Unapologetically” with comedian Funny Marco, Reese opened up about what she looks for in a partner and the type of guy who “moves her needle. Here’s what she said: “He need to be a nice wholesome man, a God-fearing man.”
Reese previously revealed that she prefers her boyfriend to be 6’3″ or 6’4″. In a playful moment on the podcast, when it seemed like Marco was trying to flirt with her, Reese replied, “I don’t do short guys. She also stated that she would only date an NBA player, effectively ruling out Marco, who kept the conversation lighthearted and fun. It’s likely that Reese will make her relationship public when the time comes – and it wouldn’t be surprising if her partner really turned out to be an NBA player.
Angel Reese Prepares for a Comeback in the Unrivaled League
On the sports side, Angel Reese’s rookie season was cut short due to injury, but she is already practicing and preparing for the upcoming season. Reese will play under new head coach Tyler Marsh, who worked with three-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson for years. Marsh has noted Reese’s physical resemblance to Wilson and emphasized that she will be a cornerstone for the Chicago Sky in the future.
In addition, Reese will participate in the new 3×3 winter basketball league Unrivaled, co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. The league announced its rosters today, a big step ahead of its inaugural season, which begins in January. Unrivaled features six teams consisting of 34 players, with two rosters still holding open wild-card spots. Reese’s team and its lineup are as follows:
