Adele announced extending her Las Vegas residency, adding 34 shows running up until Nov.
Adele has delighted her fans with the announcement that she is extending her Las Vegas residency, adding an impressive 34 shows that will run through November. This exciting news came during one of her performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where she shared personal stories that resonated deeply with the audience.
During her recent show, the Grammy-winning artist made a surprising confession: she admitted to drinking four bottles of wine before noon during the lockdown. As she sipped a glass of wine on stage, Adele reflected on those days, humorously stating, “I remember when I came here in C0VID, in lockdown, it was 11 a.m., and I was definitely like four bottles of wine in — like we all were.” This candid moment had the crowd laughing and connecting with her relatable experience.
Adele, who released her latest album 30 during the pandemic, noted that during that time, many were simply trying to cope with the isolation, often turning to alcohol. She remarked, “I said in 2020 that I wanted to put my album out. And we were all at home just drunk basically.”
In a previous conversation with Oprah Winfrey, Adele discussed how she decided to stop drinking after the passing of her estranged father, Mark Evans, from bowel cancer in May 2021. She emphasized the importance of sobriety for self-discovery, saying, “That’s one great way of really sort of getting to know yourself, is just drinking water and being sober as anything.”
During what was thought to be her final show in Vegas, Adele not only announced the extension of her residency but also revealed plans to release a concert film, promising her fans even more opportunities to experience her music. With her incredible talent and heartfelt storytelling, Adele continues to captivate audiences, making her residency a must-see event in Las Vegas.
