Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested this week.
According to TMZ, the erstwhile signal-caller was thrown into a Tennessee jail on Thursday after he was caught driving while intoxicated. The outlet reports he was also found with a gun.
Cutler is understood to have been arrested for four offenses, including DUI, failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
He was booked into the Williamson County Jail before being released on a $5,000 bond.

“The former NFL star and ex-husband of Kristin Cavallari was arrested for DUI and 3 other offenses Thursday evening in the city of Franklin, TN,” TMZ reports. “The other crimes were failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
“The circumstances surrounding the bust are still a mystery, but we’ve reached out to the police to get details.”
Jay Cutler Has Mostly Been In The News Because Of A Past Relationship
Jay Cutler was married to Kristin Cavallari for close to 10 years, having wed in 2013, and they have three children together. The former couple starred in the reality TV show ‘Very Cavallari’ along with their kids, Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor, but finalized their divorce in 2022.
Since then, he has primarily been in the news because of his ex-wife, despite her new relationship.
Cutler played for the Bears, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins as part of a 12-year career that began in Denver in 2006. He retired as a Dolphins player in 2017.
Additional details pertaining to Cutler’s arrest are expected to be released later on.
