On Tuesday, July 9, Jon Bon Jovi ‘s mother passed away at the age of 83, which would have devastated the popular musician. Carol Bongiovi was not only the singer’s mother, but also the founder of the Bon Jovi fan club.

Jon Bon Jovi ‘s mother , Carol Bongiovi , died on Tuesday, July 9, at the age of 83 at the ‘Monmouth Medical Center’, located in New Jersey. The family confirmed the news through a statement shared by the musician himself to People magazine.

“Our mother was a force to be reckoned with, her can-do spirit and attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed ,” was the message shared by Jon Bon Jovi on the passing of his mother.
Carol Bongiovi was not only known for being Jon Bon Jovi’s mother, but also for playing an important role in the musician’s career and being the founder of the Bon Jovi fan club. The singer’s mother was also a businesswoman and operated several businesses throughout her life.
Jon Bon Jovi is close to his family
On several occasions, Jon Bon Jovi has revealed the great positive influence that his parents have had on his musical career. Even in an interview with ‘The Big Issue’ in November 2020, the singer recalled the following:
“Even if you weren’t really good at your craft, if you believed you were, you could work at it. As I grew older, I realized that was a great gift I received from my parents.”
On another occasion, Jon Bon Jovi explained how his parents supported his dreams from an early age, allowing him to perform concerts at the age of 17:
“They always supported me, which in retrospect, is amazing. Because I could get home at one or two in the morning and still have to be at school at eight o’clock. They would just say, get to school on time, you know that’s your responsibility, but pursue your dream.”
