Throughout the first month of the NHL season, many fans have agreed that Brad Treliving and the Toronto Maple Leafs need to make some sort of trade.

Overall, the team’s bottom six has been pretty abysmal with only a handful of players being able to score some goals.

Guys like Max Domi, Pontus Holmberg, and even David Kampf are goalless throughout the early stretch of the season. This is not good enough and the Leafs could use a lot more firepower and depth.

Having said that, it would appear as though the Leafs are, indeed, serious about making some sort of move.

It was reported over the weekend that the Toronto Maple Leafs sent a scout to the game between the New York Islanders and the Seattle Kraken.

There are a few players on each team that are of interest to the Leafs, and many believe this is what ultimately led to the move.

Toronto Maple Leafs are thinking of making a move

The players in question would be perfect to help fill out the Maple Leafs’ third line.

Of course, we are talking about players such as Yanni Gourde of the Kraken, and Brock Nelson of the Islanders.

These are both proven players who have a ton of talent and would definitely be perfect for this Maple Leafs roster. Whether or not the Leafs make a move, would be a different story.

At this stage, the team is likely not in much of a rush to actually do anything, especially as they have won five of their last six.

Having said that, the team will need some extra depth once they get into the playoffs. That is when things truly ramp up and the team will need the help.

Only time will tell whether or not Brad Treliving can come through and do something that will make Leafs fans excited.
