In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Rookie of the Year runner-up wrote a one-word reaction following Sabrina Ionescu’s heroic shot to give New York a 2-1 series lead. Ionescu drilled an insane stepback 3-point shot with one second left to give the Liberty the victory.

The New York Liberty took a page out of the Minnesota Lynx’s book en route winning Game 3. The Liberty were down by as much as 15 points early in the game before mounting a rally in the third quarter, led by Breanna Stewart.

Stewart kept the Liberty afloat in the third period, as well as the fourth quarter, before Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones took over in the final two minutes. Ionescu got the ball in New York’s final possession with 10.9 seconds left.

The Oregon product wasted a few seconds off the clock before making her move against Kayla McBride. After putting McBride off balance, Ionescu stepped back and hit a 3-point shot from near the Lynx’s logo with a second remaining.

New York held on for the final possession to get the three-point win and is now one win away from winning its first WNBA championship. Ionescu finished with 13 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Jones added 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

Stewart had a game-high 30 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks. Napheesa Collier put up 22 points, nine rebounds and five steals for the Lynx, who need a win in Game 4 to keep their hopes alive.

Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty have the right to celebrate their win in Game 3 but also know that the job is not finished.

The Liberty need to win one more game to be crowned the WNBA champions. Ionescu also downplayed her game-winning shot as she credited Breanna Stewart for the win.

“We don’t win this game without Stewie,” Ionescu said, according to ESPN. “There’s nothing I can say. That shot’s nice, but what she was able to do for us tonight willed us back into the game.”

Game 4 of the WNBA Finals is scheduled for Friday with an 8 p.m. EST tip-off. It will be at the Target Center, and if the Lynx wins, the do-or-die Game 5 will be in New York.
