Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 131-127 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, fans praised veteran LeBron James and first-year head coach JJ Redick for leading the team to a 3-0 start.

The Kings drop to an 0-2 start after losing 117-115 against the Minnesota Timberwolves in their season-opener.

In his 22nd season, James finished the night with a triple-double, recording 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, shooting 12-of-22 from the field in the victory. Anthony Davis posted his third consecutive 30-plus point game, contributing 31 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

On the other side of the court, Domantas Sabonis led the Kings with a triple-double of his own, posting 29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

The 3-0 start marks the Lakers’ first since the 2010-2011 season, when they opened with an eight-game winning streak under head coach Phil Jackson and NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

Lakers fans are praising Redick and his hands-on coaching style in his first year with the Lakers alongside James in his seventh year with the team.

Following their 123-116 win over the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles will face them for the second time this season on Monday, traveling to Footprint Center in Phoenix.
