Hailie Jade said she doesn’t ‘think I can do it again’
Eminem’s daughter has explained why she ‘refuses to watch’ her dad’s new music video again.
The name Hailie Jade is well-known amongst Eminem fans who are more than aware of who his family members are, mostly from his songs.
Throughout the years, he’s regularly mentioned his ex-wife Kim Scott and their three children: Alaina Scott, 31, Hailie Jade Scott, 28, and Stevie Laine Scott, 22.
Now, in his latest album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), the record promised to kill off his savage alter ego once and for all.
And throughout the project, no-one is safe as the 51-year-old takes shots at P Diddy, Dr Dre (jokingly) and even his own kids.
However, the music video for ‘Somebody Save Me’ proved to be a little too much for his daughter Hailie.
Taking to her Just a Little Shady podcast, Hailie said: “Speaking of things I watched this past week, which I guess I’ll say watched, but I refused to watch again — the ‘Somebody Save Me’ music video is out and I did watch the thing.”
The emotional clip shows footage of Hailie as a child while her dad apologises for not being there for her when she was little.

He blames substance and alcohol abuse for missing out on his middle daughter growing up.
“Another pill as I start to spiral / Message to my daughters / I don’t even deserve the father title / Hailie, I’m so sorry / I know I wasn’t there for your first guitar recital,” Eminem raps.
“Didn’t walk you down the aisle / Missed the birth of your first child / Your first podcast, lookin’ down, sweetie.”
Hailie also opened up about another one of her dad’s songs from the new album, ‘Temporary’.
On the verge of tears, she said the song made her realise ‘how bad things were’.
“But now as an adult in hindsight it’s so scary to think about and I think that’s why I get emotional,” she said. “I will say if you’ve ever lost an addict or loved one, I feel for you.”
During the track, the father-of-three attempts to put her at ease, telling her that life is going to be difficult, but ok, after he dies.
At the beginning of the song, we hear an old recording of a conversation between a young Eminem and Hailie, when she was a kid.
The intro between the two goes: “A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death? The truth is, I think what scares the me most is not being able to say all the things.
“I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here. So this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes. Where is Hailie? Where is she at? This ain’t Hailie. Who is it?
“It’s a monster.”
In the song, he then raps: “Look after Eleana, Stevie and Uncle Nate / And, sweetie, be strong; I know I was your rock, and I still am / Saying goodbye is just not ever easy / Why you crying? Just stop / Hailie, baby, dry your eyes, this is not forever.”
