Playoffs have begun for Season 26 of The Voice.
During the Monday (Nov. 25) episode of The Voice, the five remaining contestants on Team Reba and Team Snoop Dogg each competed for two spots on their respective teams. This cut seems final since there is no more stealing or saving.
At the beginning of the episode, Team Snoop Dogg consisted of Mikaela Ayira, Austyns Stancil, Aliyah Khaylyn, Jeremy Beloate, and Christina Eagle. They all performed incredibly, but only two could continue in the competition.
Snoop Dogg enlisted the help of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles to advise his contestants before the playoff round.
What did Team Snoop Dogg sing?
Snoop Dogg had vastly different singers on his team, making his choice even more difficult. Christina Eagle performed “Fancy,” earning high praise from even Reba McEntire! Aliyah Khaylyn was next with her take on Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”
Austyns Stancil followed up with Prince’s “Adore,” and Mikaela Ayira went next with her fantastic rendition of Keyshia Cole’s “Love.” Jeremy Beloate closed out the night for Team Snoop Dogg with an emotional rendition of “The Impossible Dream (The Quest).”
Jeremy Beloate brought the tears with his performance.
The Voice credited “The Impossible Dream (The Quest)” as a Josh Groban song; Groban was the 69th notable person to record or perform the song on a long list of talent.

Mitch Leigh and Joe Darion originally wrote it for the 1965 Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, sung by Don Quixote. Other people who have recorded the song include Diana Ross, Elvis Presley, The Temptations, Glen Campbell, Tom Jones.
Though his name should now be etched as the 72nd notable performance of this song in popular culture, he performed it as though his name was first on the list.
He sang it with such emotion and power that he brought Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg to tears.
“I haven’t been that touched listening to anybody sing until you. You have got a voice that really penetrated my heart,” McEntire said. “It really got me. I can see you on Broadway. I want to come see you when you’re there.”
Host Carson Daly took things over to Snoop Dogg, who said, “I’m over here shedding tears of joy, man. You made me feel like I was sitting at a real Broadway play. I’m crying and I don’t care because my seat next to me, she’s crying. So I guess it’s OK to cry.”
The two of them were really in tears throughout Beloate’s performance and you could still hear the emotion in their voices while giving feedback.
Snoop Dogg chose to put Beloate and Eagle through to the next round, sending home Stancil, Khaylyn, and Ayira.
