Brock Bowers pulled out his best version of the Donald Trump dance after Gardner Minshew found the Las Vegas Raiders rookie tight end for a 23-yard touchdown.
Bowers became the latest NFL star to nail President-elect Trump’s dance moves as a touchdown celebration when the team took on the Miami Dolphins.
After the game, Bowers was asked about the celebration.
“I’ve seen everyone do it,” Bowers said via Safid Deen of USA Today. “I watched the UFC fight last night, and Jon Jones did it. I like watching UFC so I saw it, and thought it was cool.”
Unfortunately, he would not be able to expand on that answer or anything else because, according to Safid Deen, the Las Vegas Raiders made the curious decision to end Brock Bowers’ media availability after the answer about the Trump dance.
What makes things even worse is that the video of the interaction hasn’t been posted, as if the team is trying to control the narrative and avoid any backlash.
Bowers is the latest NFL star to do the move. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and the rest of his teammates did it after he sacked Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield in a game last Sunday.
Brock Bowers Had His Best Game As A Professional In Loss To The Dolphins
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers may be getting attention over his Trump dance, but he had quite the day on Sunday.
Bowers set a record for most catches in a game by a rookie tight end in Sunday’s 34–19 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
He hauled in 13 receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown.
Those numbers would surpass Mark Bavaro’s 12 catches during his rookie season for the New York Giants in 1985.
