LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers star player, has been friends with many famous personalities outside of sports. The 39-year-old star established connections with numerous well-known figures from various industries. Among these connections, his friendship with the famous hip-hop artist Drake has been particularly prominent. However, their friendship now seems to be ending, as Drake made a bold social media move that left his fans curious.
According to a recent post by NBA Central on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Canadian rapper Drake has unfollowed LeBron James on his Instagram account. However, the four-time NBA champion was not the only person Drake unfollowed.
Recent reports suggest that Drake also unfollowed Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan, American rapper Playboi Carti, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, and American media personality Joe Budden.
The reason for Drake’s bold move is still unclear. However, many speculate that LeBron James was recently spotted vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us” during the offseason, which could be the reason for Drake breaking the bond with James. This song was a diss track aimed at Drake, so seeing James enjoy it might have upset Drake.
NBA Fans Point Fingers at Kendrick Lamar After Drake Unfollows James on Instagram
After learning about the news, many basketball enthusiasts started expressing their thoughts in the comment section of the NBA Central’s post on X. One fan said, “Drake after seeing LeBron at the Kendrick Lamar concert.”
Meanwhile, another fan mentioned, “He doesn’t wanna be associated with anyone who’s on the diddy list.”
Another fan commented, “Did LeBron link up with Kendrick Lamar?”
A basketball enthusiast said, “It is because of Kendrick Lamar.”
Another fan mentioned, “My goat was vibing to Not like Us and my goat didn’t like it…. I don’t blame him.”
James, who was recently trolled by his son, has already experienced a lot of off-season drama. Drake’s bold move could grab King James’ attention, and it will be interesting to see his reaction.
