The WNBA will capitalize on the star power of Angel Reese in a brand new partnership with Reebok, announcing a multi-year agreement that designates the sports apparel and sneaker giant as the league’s official shoe supplier.
Leading the charge of the Reebok era will be the second-year Chicago Sky forward, and Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown, both named as ambassadors of the partnership. Reese has emerged as one of the most popular players in the league from the moment she turned pro, and Brown, also a co-host on ‘Gil’s Arena’, signed a deal with the brand in 2021.
Reese secured her deal with Reebok last year and has already built up excitement with the brand through her August launch of a collection designed to empower women. Her line includes apparel and footwear that blend femininity and strength, featuring items like $17 crop tops and the Reebok x Angel Premier Road Plus VI Shoes priced at $120.
“Reebok has been such an amazing partner and advocate for women in sport,” said Reese through a press release. “As strong female athletes, we can use our platform to set an example for young players coming up in the sport. I’m happy to see the WNBA and Reebok supporting one another because I know that together, we’re so much stronger, and our reach is so much further.”
Reese’s relationship with Reebok stems from her close connection with basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, the brand’s current President of Basketball. O’Neal voiced his enthusiasm in a press release, saying: “It’s an exciting time for Reebok, the WNBA, and the game of basketball overall.

Reebok’s partnership with the WNBA continues its legacy in women’s basketball, which dates back to the 1990s. The brand made history in 1997 by launching the signature sneaker of WNBA Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo during her rookie season. Lobo was fresh off leading UConn to a national championship in 1995 and was one of the first women’s hoopers to have her own signature shoe.
Reebok’s early commitment to the sport paid off. The new partnership came during a significant boom in growth for the league. The league experienced a 155 percent increase in average viewership from last season, with 1.2 million viewers, and increases in average attendance and WNBA app usage.
The deal also comes in the middle of the league’s expansion plans. The Golden State Valkyries will play their inaugural season in 2025, with the Toronto Tempo and a Portland organization yet to be nicknamed expected to take the court in 2026.
