Heroes, zeros from Giants’ loss to Ravens: Lamar Jackson’s other strength did the most damage

Heroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Giants’ 35-14 loss to the Ravens on Sunday:

Hero

The Giants were worried about Lamar Jackson’s legs, but it was his arm that did the damage: He completed 21 of 25 passes for 290 yards and a career-high-tying five touchdown passes before taking a fourth-quarter seat in the blowout.

Zero

The Giants’ patchwork secondary of elevated backups and newly added players blew enough coverages that receivers were running wide open downfield.

The Ravens had six gains of 20 yards or more, including four for touchdowns.

Unsung hero

Malik Harrison tied for the team lead with six tackles and added a sack and two other quarterback hits as the Ravens beat up the depleted Giants’ offensive line at the point of attack.

Key stat

81.8: Percent of third downs converted by the Ravens (9 of 11), compared to the Giants’ 16.7 percent (2 of 12).
