We’ve just received good news within the Montreal Canadiens organization, involving Alex Barré-Boulet and Jakub Dobes.
Barré-Boulet is back in action, and Dobes is following suit!
This is solid reinforcement for Pascal Vincent’s squad, great news for Laval Rocket fans, and, above all, it provides interesting options for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
Could this prompt Hughes to recall Barré-Boulet, or Dobes, or maybe even both?
This will be an interesting storyline to watch.
Alex Barré-Boulet and Jakub Dobes are back in action!
See the confirmation from the excellent Anthony Marcotte, the official play-by-play announcer for the Rocket games on BPM Sports.
Alex Barré-Boulet will make his return to the lineup for the Rocket tonight in Belleville. Connor Hughes will get his third consecutive start in goal for Laval, with Jakub Dobes backing him up. The Rocket is aiming for an 8th consecutive victory.
Alex Barré-Boulet will have only missed 2 games. This will help with creativity for the Laval Rocket tonight.
It’s worth noting that despite Dobes’ return to health, Connor Hughes will be in goal tonight in Belleville. But we have to admit he absolutely doesn’t deserve to be taken out of the net at this point.
Pascal Vincent has the luxury of having two excellent goalies.
Barré-Boulet, 27, has accumulated 8 points in 5 games this season with the Rocket, after playing two games with the Montreal Canadiens.
Dobes, 23, has a record of 4-0-0 this season with the Rocket, following a solid training camp with the Montreal Canadiens. He has a goals-against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of 0.910.
Hughes, 28, has a record of 4-1-0 this season with the Rocket, also after a strong training camp. He boasts a goals-against average of 1.81 and an impressive save percentage of 0.937.
Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are certainly keeping an eye on them.
And if it were your decision, what would you do?
