Emma Raducanu and Nick Cavaday have ended their partnership
Emma Raducanu has split with her coach Nick
Emma Raducanu is looking for another coach after her childhood mentor Nick Cavaday stepped down for health reasons.
The 2021 US Open winner returned to work with Cavaday 14 months ago after a big turnover in her coaching staff.
The Londoner, 38, was in Melbourne where the British No.2 lost in the third round to Iga Swiatek.
But after her first Grand Slam of the year, Cavaday told Raducanu he needed time at home to deal with a chronic health conditon.
And Raducanu, who is preparing for a tournament in Singapore with her new fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura, will now consider her option before appointing her seventh full-time coach since turning professional after her A levels in 2021.
Cavaday, who first worked with Raducanu when he was head of the LTA High Performance Centre in Bromley from 2011-14 had been the longest serving.

Cavaday said: “I am very happy to have been able to work with Emma over the last 14 months. At this moment in time, it’s important for me to spend some more time at home and prioritise getting back to full health which is hard to do with the extensive calendar.
“I am glad Emma is back to being established on tour now with a ranking inside the top 60, and I look forward to seeing what she does from here.”
Raducanu said: “I’d like to thank Nick for a great partnership over the last year and a bit, especially being post-surgeries he helped get me back inside the world’s top 60. I wish him all the best in his next chapter and no doubt we’ll stay in touch.”
Raducanu had Nigel Sears as her coach at Wimbledon in 2021 and Andrew Richardson for her US Open triumph.
Since then, she has employed Torben Belz, Dmitry Tursunov and Sebastian Sachs while LTA coaches and her friend Jane O’Donaghue have helped out between full-time coaches
