The captain of the Montreal Canadiens, Nick Suzuki, is usually calm and composed in front of journalists.
He rarely shows his emotions, but earlier today, Suzuki displayed more of his character in front of reporters, and we love it.
Indeed, let us recall that last night, we learned that, unfortunately, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield will not be participating in the Four Nations Tournament.
They were snubbed!
The two Canadiens forwards were not selected, respectively by Canada and the United States.
Nick Suzuki shows his displeasure in a press conference
Probably for the first time in a long time, we saw a slightly more emotional Nick Suzuki in front of the media today.
Regarding the non-selection of his good friend Cole Caufield, you could sense he was truly disappointed with the decision and that he disagreed with it.
The Habs captain, Nick Suzuki, today on Cole Caufield not being selected for the American team:
«I thought he had a really good shot it, especially with the season that he’s been having. He’s kinda in the same boat as me. So we’ll use it as fuel for us moving forward.»

That’s the right reaction to have!
And about his own non-selection for Team Canada, he gave a curt response that speaks volumes.
“I play against the best players in the world every night, so I think I could show what I could do!”
– Nick Suzuki on being snubbed
I agree with him, and I absolutely believe Suzuki and Caufield would have been great additions for their respective countries. However, I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do over the coming weeks to make the decision-makers regret their choices.
