On Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Houston Texans in an AFC South showbowl between the first- and last-place teams. For the first time since November 3, quarterback Trevor Lawrence saw the field.
Unfortunately, his time in the game did not last long after a brutal illegal hit by Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. It came as Lawrence slid to the ground after rushing for a first down, and Al-Shaair launched himself at Trevor’s head.
Lawrence was completely out of it and could not get up alone. He later had to be carted off the field.
It was unlikely, but there was hope that it was nothing serious. Later, reports indicated that he suffered a concussion and had to be replaced by Mac Jones
Trevor Lawrence Has Had Bad Luck With Injuries
Just based on how violent the injury looked, it’s unlikely that Lawrence will be healthy enough to clear concussion protocol for next week.
Of course, the injuries aren’t his fault, but he has struggled with them badly this year.
He missed the two previous games because of a shoulder injury sustained in Week 9 against the Eagles.
