The actress and model, 44, has been in the business for over two decades – and is no stranger to posing up a storm on the red carpet. And over the years, Kelly – who is on screens today (September 1) for Celebrity Race Across The World – has been open about her weight.

But back in 2017, she was left mortified after a photographer made a nasty remark about Kelly while on a red carpet.

Kelly Brook ‘wasn’t feeling happy’ in her body

Throughout her career, Kelly has spoken out about her weight – and despite yo-yoing in her twenties, Kelly is now settled.

Talking of her yo-yo weight in the 2010s, Kelly told The Mirror: “I wasn’t feeling happy in my body. I wanted to lose weight and now I’ve lost it. I’m maintaining it and feel really good.”

The actress is now a SlimFast ambassador and in February this year, she celebrated maintaining a two-stone weight loss on its programme for five years. But it was an incident on a red carpet event that spurred Kelly on to lose weight too.

Kelly Brook told to ‘breathe in’

Speaking in February, the star recalled an event in 2017 that saw Kelly, a size 16, pose on a red carpet. However, a photographer ended up humiliating her after they asked her to “breathe in”.

She said: “People in the media get used to you being a certain way.”

Within a year, Kelly started to lose weight with SlimFast. She dropped 2st and went from size 16 to a 12.  She said: “I was quite strict initially to lose the two stone.”

Kelly has previously shared what she eats in a day, amid her weight loss. She told MailOnline that she and her husband Jeremy Parisi enjoy long hikes together walking their dog.

But Kelly also noted how Jeremy adores her curves, and that her weight loss is linked to health and fitness rather than focusing on shedding pounds.

Radio host Kelly explained: “Jeremy’s Italian so he likes he likes a big bum and boobies – so I don’t have to worry about that!”

‘I’m happy in myself and confident’

She continued: “You just have to realise that no one really cares what you look like other than you do. You’ve got to do what makes you feel good because if you’re trying to look a certain way to please someone else it’s a never-ending battle.

“I’m happy in myself and confident and I don’t think my husband notices my weight if it fluctuates… if you feel good that can only lead to more sex!”
