The Los Angeles Lakers have had a mixed bag this season. While they have shown sparks of brilliance occasionally, the consistency has been significantly missing. For instance, the LeBron James-led side began their journey in a scintillating manner, winning three of their opening games. However, things then went downhill with the Lakers suffering from a slump.

Once again, the likes of Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, and more rose to the occasion. This saw the Lakers go on a six-game undefeated streak in the NBA. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles-based side seems to have once again lost the plot. In the last 5 matches, the Lakers have won 2 and lost 3 games. Thus, looking to boost the squad further, the gold and purple brigade is now eyeing a major New Orleans Pelicans star. And guess what? As per the betting odds, Brandon Ingram is bound for the Lakers!

According to a recent news article published by the Bovada Official, Ingram has quite a lot of potential buyers. But with a betting odds of +400, it is the Lakers who are likely to seal the deal. Giving the Lakers close competition are the Miami Heat at +500 and the Los Angeles Clippers at +600. Surely, the inclusion of Ingram will be a value addition as the Pelicans star has averaged between 20 to 25 ppg in the past six seasons. However, this is not the only star player that the Lakers are targeting.

Los Angeles Lakers Eye A Possible Trade For Jonas Valanciunas

The Washington Wizards star, Jonas Valanciunas might be donning the purple and gold jersey soon. Playing for the Wizards, Valanciunas has quite an impressive CV, if not a perfect one. This season, the talented center is averaging 12.1 points, 2.1 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game. And there is a good chance of these numbers skyrocketing if the deal does actually go through.

The possibility of Valanciunas joining forces with LeBron James was initially teased by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “Matt Barnes played with Kobe… This happens sometimes, but you look at Valančiūnas certainly is a name that’s legitimately still on the Lakers radar, and we’ll have to see how Washington seasons go,” McMenamin stated while in an episode of  ‘The Hoop Collective’ podcast.
