While Morgan Wallen struggled for years to get his foot in the door of country music, the singer now sits on top of the genre thanks to albums like One Thing at a Time. Gaining praise for his songs “Whiskey Glasses” and “Cowgirls”, the country singer decided to hit the road with his One Night at a Time World Tour that featured singers like Ernest and HARDY. But besides celebrating his career in country music, the singer also helped inspire a new generation of musicians and singers by donating $500,000 in new instruments.

For those who might not follow Wallen, the country star crossed a massive milestone recently when he landed the highest-selling country tour of all time. Always looking for ways to give back, the Morgan Wallen Foundation decided to join forces with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation for the “One Instrument At A Time” program.

Discussing how important music was to him as a child, Wallen insisted, “When I was a kid, access to music profoundly changed my life and gave me a sense of purpose. I want that for others, and I’m blessed to be able to provide instruments to these schools through my foundation. We really wanted to say a big thank you to these awesome communities that welcome us in and let us play for our fans.”

Morgan Wallen Not Only Giving Free Instruments

Thrilled about what he accomplished on and off the stage, Wallen wasn’t the only one expressing his joy over the initiative. Kathleen Flaherty, the director of the Morgan Wallen Foundation, added, “Giving back is an integral part of who Morgan is and how he was raised. So launching ‘One Instrument At A Time’ in conjunction with this tour was incredibly important. Partnering with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation enabled us to utilize their expertise in securing quality instruments and identifying schools in local communities that need them the most. In turn, we hope to impact the lives of kids by giving them access to learn and play music, which is what set the stage for Morgan’s life.”

Outside of his contributions to schools across the United States, Wallen also donated $3 for every ticket sold during his tour to his foundation. Spreading more than just music, the singer continues to dominate country music and use his stardom for good.
