The #PaulTyson mania has caught up with everyone. Despite his EDM festival starting off shortly, Shaquille O’Neal couldn’t help but attend the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fighting frenzy. While O’Neal put his bets on Iron Mike, things didn’t turn out as expected. With Paul taking the victory, there was a little bit of gloom in the air. However, that was soon swept away as the Big Aristotle came up with a banger of a business idea.
The NBA legend was at the stadium along with his son, Myles O’Neal. Joining them in the stands was the 4x Super Bowl champion, Rob Gronkowski. While giving his thoughts on who would win tonight, Shaq had an interesting idea. “Me and Gronk are going to put together NBA vs NFL,” he said.
The NBA legend next upped the ante further as he said, “I just thought about it because me and Gronk have been good friends, and he challenged me into a fight, and I said okay.” Rob Gronkowski, too, seemed to be in the mood to hype up their proposed clash. He mentioned that O’Neal had one small misconception – he and Shaq are not really good friends.
Well, there’s no surety about whether the proposed NFL vs NBA fight will be happening for real or not. However, if someday, Gronkowski must put on the braces against Big Diesel, he must feel a bit intimated. As the NBA legend does have some prior boxing experience.
Shaquille O’Neal Has Been A Boxer Before!
Well, it is a known notion that the Big Shaq can do anything. Apart from being a basketball legend turned DJ, Shaquille O’Neal has made appearances in several renowned promotions like the WWE. In fact, O’Neal has even fought in boxing matches twice. The NBA legend had faced off against Sugar Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya.
However, while Shaq lost on both occasions, he did put on a tough fight against the duo. Shaq made his opponents sweat it out to get the victory and also had them against the ropes a couple of times. Thus, with things getting tense between him and Gronkowski, it remains to be seen how the fight turns out if it takes place in reality.
