The BBC has confirmed that two of its most popular spin-off shows will return for follow-up seasons – and will air in just weeks.
The Big Idea Works, helmed by Sara Davies of Dragons’ Den, has been greenlit for a second series.
Sara’s show sees inventors with ideas for innovative products matched with engineers to turn their dreams into a prototype.
Each episode features two inventors, and it follows them as they turn their brilliant ideas into reality.
Sara joined Dragons’ Den in 2019 and became the show’s youngest-ever female investor.
The programme will debut on Monday, February 3 – and will air Monday to Thursday at 2pm on BBC One.

Another BBC spin-off show has also been confirmed.
The Repair Shop stars Will Kirk and Dominic Chinea will be travelling across the UK in The Repair Shop On The Road.
The original show saw participants bring their most treasured items to the barn in West Sussex.
But their spin-off sees the experts travel up and down the country to more accessible places.
The Repair Shop On The Road will launch on Monday, February 3, having initially aired solely on BBC Scotland.
Episodes will air Monday to Friday at 4.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
Reacting online to news of the spin-off, one fan said: ‘Excellent. What a brilliant idea.’

This comes after Dragons’ Den viewers were left scratching their heads after Sara invested in a football shirt mystery box business this evening – despite the founder making a ‘dog’s dinner’ of his numbers.
Co-founder and AFC Wimbledon supporter Alex Street went on the BBC show hoping to get a £50,000 investment for a 10 per cent equity share of his company, Mystery Jersey King.
The business works via a subscription service, costing £29.99 a month including delivery, where they send football fans one mystery shirt every month which can come from anywhere in the world.
