While the Montreal Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, is preparing to face the Toronto Marlies for the second time in a row, there is some new news.
Let’s recall that last night, it was hometown forward Cedric Paré who secured the victory for his team.
All Canadiens fans remember the name Cedric Pare, he’s the one that injured Patty Laine during pre season game.
For today’s game, Pascal Vincent is making some intriguing changes, and let’s just say he’s adding a lot of fire and toughness to his lineup.
A new fourth line featuring Florian Xhekaj and Vincent Arseneau
We’re talking about a very intimidating line to face.
Vincent Arseneau will face the Marlies this afternoon. Sean Farrell will give up his spot after a tough game last night.
Arseneau-Xhekaj-Tuch line
It won’t be an easy time for the opponent.
Things are likely to get physical, between two big division rivals.
Arseneau, 32 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 223-pound forward. This season with the Rocket, he has collected 5 points and 31 penalty minutes in 15 games.
As for Arber Xhekaj’s younger brother, Florian, he is 20 years old, 6 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 195 pounds.
This season, he has 4 points in 22 games, along with 39 penalty minutes.
The Laval Rocket will try to get back on the winning track, and it’s the excellent Connor Hughes who will be in net, facing a familiar name.
The veteran goalie and two-time Stanley Cup champion, Matt Murray, will start for the Marlies against the Rocket this afternoon. Connor Hughes will hold his position, and Luke Cavallin will serve as his backup.
The game is set to start in the next few minutes.
