Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark continues to gain separation from her primary WNBA Rookie of the Year race adversary, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. With three weeks remaining in this year’s WNBA season, ex-rapper Joe Budden weighed in on their battle, likening the rookies to two Chicago Bulls legends.

Clark and Reese’s contrasting playstyles have divided fans. Some favor Clark’s electric shooting and playmaking. Meanwhile, others prefer Reese’s dominant inside presence as a nightly double-double threat.

Through 31 games, Clark leads all rookies in scoring (18.0 points per game) and 3-pointers (2.8 3s per game). She also leads the entire WNBA in assists (8.1 assists per game). On the other hand, through 30 contests, Reese leads the league in rebounding (12.9 rebounds per game).

On Wednesday, a clip made the rounds on social media of Budden seemingly attempting to end the ROY discussion. After highlighting his strong “pro-Black” disposition, he made the case for Clark being a significantly better player than Reese.

“I’m telling y’all, and I’m not trying to cause a kerfuffle, Caitlin Clark is a hell of a lot better than Angel Reese,” Budden said.

According to Budden, the difference between the two is similar to the talent disparity between ex-Bulls teammates Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman.

Both are Hall of Famers; however, Jordan is widely considered the NBA’s GOAT, primarily for his offensive prowess. Meanwhile, Rodman is viewed as an elite rebounding and defending complementary player.

“In no world did they ever compare Dennis Rodman’s rebounding a** with Jordan. They never did that,” Budden said. ” …

She’s grabbing all the boards in the world. Hey, the ‘double-double princess,’ whatever, and she’s got a podcast now and she’s got a Reese’s Pieces deal.”

The former rapper added that Clark has taken her game to another level since the WNBA’s Olympic break.

“I’m telling y’all, Caitlin Clark, if we’re talking about basketball, she’s had enough of you Olympic h**s,” Budden said. “She has been on an absolute war path since y’all left her off the Olympics. … She is smoking you bit**es out there.”

Caitlin Clark heavily favored to win ROY over Angel Reese

The sportsbooks seemingly agree with Joe Budden’s take on Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s ROY battle.

Earlier this week, it was reported Clark became such a massive ROY betting favorite that many sportsbooks removed the option to bet on the award. That reportedly includes DraftKings, FanDuel and ESPN Bet.

However, that likely won’t stop Reese’s fanbase from making her ROY case over the coming weeks.
