LIV golfer Anthony Kim reacted to shocking claims about Rory McIlroy’s cheating scandal. Recently, sports broker MaryAnn Reilly O’Neill made a shocking accusation that the Northern Irish golfer cheated on his wife, Erica Stoll, with his male caddie and later used golf journalist Amanda Balionis as a “beard.”

Earlier this year, McIlroy filed for divorce from Erica, but after a while, they mutually agreed to dismiss the separation and continued their journey together. Since then, the couple has often been spotted together and appears to be having a happy married life. However, during the time of McIlroy’s divorce filing, reports surfaced about him allegedly dating CBS reporter Amanda.

On November 12, MaryAnn Reilly O’Neill made a new claim by sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter). She wrote:

“Not sure how @McIlroyRory can have any influence on a major biz decision in golf when he can’t even figure out his own life. He cheated on Erika with his male caddy and used Amanda as a beard.@PhilMickelson @livgolf_league @PGATOUR @AnthonyKim_Gol @BobHarig @TronCarterNLU”

LIV golfer Anthony Kim took to the comments section to react to the shocking news. He wrote:

“If u gay u gay and that’s ok but @McIlroyRory not gay bruh. 😂🤷‍♂️”

Notably, Kim was once a part of the PGA Tour and emerged as a successful golfer on the circuit. However, he later struggled with injuries, and after 12 years of hiatus, he made a return as a wildcard entry on the Saudi Circuit. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy is having a good time playing on the PGA Tour and also in DP World Tour events.

When Rory McIlroy claimed to miss playing with Anthony Kim.

Anthony Kim returned to LIV Golf earlier this year in February after almost 12 years away from the game. In one of his interviews back in 2019, Rory McIlroy stated that he missed playing with Kim. He said (via Express.co.uk):

“I miss Anthony Kim. The tour was a better place with him in it. He was exciting. I remember quite a lot about that round [at the 2009 Masters]. You’re trying to focus on what you’re doing but you can’t help but notice this guy’s going on a bit of a run. That was something that was pretty cool.”

“You saw him at The Ryder Cup in Valhalla in 2008 doing what he did. Yeah, it was cool to be a part of. It was cool to see. It’s good to know that it can be done,” he added.

Although Anthony Kim has returned to professional golf, he has been struggling with his game. This year on LIV Golf, he competed in 11 tournaments but struggled in most of them, finishing the season in 56th position in the standings.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy is enjoying playing in DP World Tour events after concluding the PGA Tour season at the Tour Championship in September. He recently competed in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and finished in the T3 position. Next, he will tee off at the European Tour’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship starting November 14.
