Charlie Woods has been shining in the high school championships. The 15-year-old sophomore played a key role in helping Benjamin High School find a top spot in the championship this week.

Their team rose from the bottom to finish runner-up in the tournament. They lost out to Oxbridge Academy, at the Class 1A Florida high school state championship at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills.

It perhaps would have been impossible without the young Woods who holed five birdies, including a crucial birdie on the 18th hole in the final round, (even though he had 6 bogeys too) to balance out the scorecards. And guess who he had cheering for him at the event? That’s right papa bear!

Before this event, Tiger Woods was last seen at the Open Championship in July, where he missed his third consecutive tournament. It was months since the golf world had spotted him, as the 82X PGA Tour Champion was recovering from his recent injury. But then this week he was finally seen rooting for Charlie Woods, as he played, and the golf world went bonkers.

The official X account of TW Legion took to their wall and shared snaps of Tiger Woods from the course a few hours ago. And boy does he look different. See for yourself below:

Moreover, it seems like we weren’t the only ones who thought the golfing legend looked different since his last appearance on the course. Many fans, in fact, were left concerned about his physical health after seeing the photos!

Tiger Woods seems to have lost a lot of weight and fans are worried

Tiger Woods has undergone at least six back surgeries that he has disclosed to the public. His latest one was in September 2024, which was done to relieve lower back pain and spasms. The surgery was a micro-decompression, to treat nerve impingement. The 15-time major winner, of course, is still recovering from it, and it shows. He looked pale at his most recent appearance next to Charlie, and he seemed to have shed a bit of weight too.

Many weren’t sure whether this was part of his recovery, or on purpose, and questions like “Has he lost the weight a little bit?” and “Tiger looking thin? I’m intrigued” flooded the X posts’ comments section.

Tiger Woods met with a life-altering accident back in 2021. That was when he ended up severely injuring his right leg. Since then, he’s been dealing with severe Plantar Fasciitis. In 2023, he even went through surgery for the subtalar joint to address his post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture. And him wearing a leg warmer on that very leg on the course even caught some fans’ attention. One commented, “That leg is mangled. Smh”.

While most of them were left concerned regarding his health and absolute weight loss, some of them took it as a good sign of a comeback. Tiger Woods appeared in five events this season. He withdrew from the Genesis Invitation due to fever, which was followed by a 60th finish at the Masters. He missed the cuts in the rest of the three majors. So some perhaps thought that this new look was a process of his way to get back into the game. They figured that the weight loss might bring back his momentum. Taking to this, they left comments like, “Slimmmmmmmmmm” and “Looking slim 👀”.
