When talking about players that irritate a lot of fans, it’s easy to assume that Patrick Mahomes is at the top of that list.

After all, with the way he has been dominating since his arrival in 2017, it’s only natural for opposing fanbases to get annoyed with him.

A number of reports in the past support that idea, with Mahomes being named as one of the most hated players in the league.

In a recent fan survey by The Action Network, however, there is actually a Kansas City Chiefs player that people find more annoying: Travis Kelce.

The “honor” of Most Annoying NFL Player went to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which isn’t a big surprise since the four-time NFL MVP is usually a magnet of controversy.

Kelce, interestingly, came in second with 17 percent of the votes. Rodgers had 27 percent, while Mahomes finished in the Top 4 with eight percent.

“Kelce’s high-energy persona might not sit well with some, especially younger fans, as the 18-24 age group ranked him the most annoying player (21%),” The Action Network explained.

Considering that Travis Kelce has a huge following, which has only grown even more ever since he started dating Taylor Swift in 2023, it’s certainly quite surprising to see him so high on the list.

Perhaps that is also a drawback of his immense popularity. As his fans have increased, so have his haters. Regardless of the results of the survey, it’s unlikely Kelce and Mahomes will be bothered by it. Besides, they have a bigger task ahead as they look to win the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.
