Recent Loose Women broadcast sparks fan outrage over ‘insensitive’ topic: ‘Why would they discuss ‘partners’ with Ruth right there?’

Kéllé Bryan has been accused of “trolling” Ruth Lansford about her split as she spoke about remaining friends with an ex after a break-up on Loose Women.

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes ,both 64, shared their plans to divorce in May, and it later emerged that he was dating relationship therapist Katie Alexander, 42.

On Monday’s episode of Loose Women, the panel, including Ruth, Kéllé, Coleen Nolan, and Kelly Holmes, discussed finding someone you know will be a lifelong friend as they discussed Dame Judi Dench and Jay Blade’s unlikely friendship.

While most of the panel discussed keeping in touch with long-time school friends, Kéllé began to discuss maintaining a friendship with an ex-partner.

Although the Eternal singer meant no ill will with her words, the audience at home felt uncomfortable listening to her speak on this subject in front of Ruth.

Viewers called her out for discussing the sensitive subject as Ruth is going through a high profile break-up and still wears her wedding ring.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, they made their feelings about Kéllé’s words clear.

One said: “Is Bryant trolling Ruth regarding her recent breakup??” (sic) A second commented: “Oops Kelle, talking about being friends after break ups.” 9sic)

Another remarked: “Oh remained friends after a break up Ruth.” (sic)

Sharing her thoughts on relationships, Kéllé said: “It’s quite unique when you date someone or have a relationship with somebody and then you go on to have a friendship after that.

“That’s quite a unique thing, especially if you’ve shared quite a lot during that relationship.

“Sometimes breakups can be quite nasty and you go your own way, but if you can find your way back or have something that keeps you in common, and you still remain friends after that relationship has broken up, there’s something about the longevity of that…

“The jokes, the laughter, the things that you’ve shared, the experiences that only you two have had., for me that’s a [powerful thing.”

Meanwhile, Ruth shared her love of her old school pals, who’ve been by her side for over 50 years, remarking: “They have been there through thick and thin, all of us has had something happened in our lives.”

Following her split from husband and fellow TV star Eamonn Holmes, the ITV presenter revealed to her followers that she had decided to change her hair and opt for longer locks.

Taking to social media, Ruth informed fans that she had taken their advice and wanted to experiment with adding a few extra inches to her hair extensions.

She shared a video of the process, writing in the caption: “Extensions time again! @leobancroft salon. Decided to keep them a bit longer this time (lots of you told me to last time! ) Fitted by the lovely Lauren (you can also book Kristen) cut and styled by Leo.”

In a recent episode of Loose Women, the panel delved into the topic of maintaining friendships with ex-partners, sparking some controversy online.

Kéllé Bryan, known for her time in the group Eternal, shared her thoughts on the unique dynamic of transitioning from a romantic relationship to a platonic friendship.

While some viewers appreciated her perspective on the subject, others felt that her comments may have hit too close to home for Ruth Langsford, who is currently navigating a public divorce from Eamonn Holmes.

Maintaining friendships after a breakup can indeed be a tricky and delicate situation. It requires a certain level of maturity, emotional intelligence, and mutual respect from both parties involved.

While some ex-couples are able to successfully navigate this transition and remain close friends, others may find it too challenging or painful to do so.

Each relationship is unique, and what works for one couple may not work for another. It’s important to approach the topic of post-breakup friendships with sensitivity and empathy, especially when discussing it in a public forum like television.

The audience’s reactions to Kéllé’s comments serve as a reminder that breakups are a highly personal and emotional experience, and it’s essential to tread lightly when discussing such matters.

Ultimately, the key is to prioritize communication, boundaries, and self-care when navigating a friendship with an ex-partner.

It’s crucial to take the time to process the end of the romantic relationship and ensure that both individuals are on the same page about the nature of their future relationship.

With open and honest communication, respect for each other’s feelings, and a willingness to move forward in a positive direction, maintaining a friendship with an ex-partner can be a rewarding and enriching experience.

As we continue to explore the complexities of relationships and personal growth, let’s remember to approach these topics with compassion, understanding, and a willingness to learn from each other’s experiences.

By fostering a sense of empathy and respect in our discussions, we can create a more supportive and inclusive community for all.

Let’s continue to engage in open and honest dialogue, celebrate our differences, and uplift each other along the way. Thank you for joining us on this journey of self-discovery and connection.
