Taylor Swift Asks Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to Be Her Prom Date in 13-Year-Old Video

The singer and Eras Tour star declared it would be “fun” to hang out with the rapper and other celebrities on an old episode of “The Rachael Ray Show”

In 2011, Taylor Swift said she would include Sean “Diddy” Combs as one of her dream prom companions.

A video from 2011 has resurfaced in which Taylor Swift mentions that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs would be one of her ideal prom companions. The “Lover” singer, then 21, participated in a quick quiz game on Rachael Ray’s The Rachael Ray Show, where she held up photos of celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Sheryl Crow.

When asked who her ideal date would be, Swift replied that she would have “a group of friends” that would be “a lot of fun.” Ray, surprised by her choice, asked why she chose that group of people, and Swift explained that it was for “different reasons” and because of each person’s personality.

The singer detailed that Perry “would be so funny, she’s like a spontaneous person,” while de Combs commented that she’s “always been so nice” to her, noting that it would be “fun” if she were in the graduation group. Rachael also added that Combs is “a gentleman.” Swift’s statement resurfaced after a video of the moment was shared in a TikTok clip, although it has since been deleted. However, some social media users responded, claiming that the comment “doesn’t get old.”

Taylor Swift shines on stage with Sabrina Carpenter

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift continues to shine on her high-profile international tour Eras Tour. During her performance at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on October 26, the singer was joined by her friend and ex-lover, who is set to open several of her shows in 2023, Sabrina Carpenter.

During a concert in New Orleans, Swift surprised the audience by bringing in Carpente as a surprise guest, with whom she sang “Espresso,” “Please, Please, Please,” and “Is It Over Now?”

During the surprise song portion of the show, Swift took a phone from the audience and called Carpenter. In a video of the moment, posted to social media, Swift explained to the audience that she needed to be quiet because she was going to put Sabrina “on speakerphone.” In response, the surprise guest expressed excitement and joked with Taylor about the distance. Swift asked if he could “come to the stadium,” to which Carpenter replied that it would take him “about five seconds.” Seconds later, Sabrina appeared on stage in a white dress, and together they performed a medley that included songs like “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please,” along with “Is It Over Now?”, a song that includes the phrase “let’s go three hundred cups of coffee to go later,” in an apparent reference to “Espresso.”Swift invitó a Carpenter al escenario para un popurrí de sus canciones “Espresso” y “Please, Please, Please” junto con “Is It Over Now?” (X/@4k_taylorr)

The two pop stars previously collaborated on stage during a show in Australia in February, when Carpenter’s opening performance was canceled due to weather conditions. On that occasion, the artists performed “White Horse” and “Coney Island” in Sydney.
