Fans Flood Carrie Underwood’s Social Media After Inauguration Performance Hits a Snag

Carrie Underwood Fans Scream "She's Baacck" After Incredible Announcement

Carrie Underwood performed “America the Beautiful” during the Presidential Inauguration earlier this week. However, almost nothing went according to plan. She was originally slated to perform before Trump took the Oath of Office.

However, that didn’t happen. Additionally, she originally planned to sing alongside the Armed Forces Chorus and the Naval Academy Glee Club. A backing track replaced her accompaniment, though. Then, when she was finally ready to perform, her backing track wouldn’t play. In the end, the American Idol alum-turned-judge performed a stunning acapella rendition of the patriotic standard.

After Underwood’s performance, fans flocked to her social media to share their thoughts on her performance. To say that the reviews were mixed would be an understatement. Some fans praised her grace under fire and her vocal prowess while others threw shade for various reasons.

Fans Share Their Thoughts on Carrie Underwood’s Inauguration Performance

Carrie Underwood hasn’t posted on social media since her performance at the Presidential Inauguration. So, fans took to a post about her forthcoming Reflection concert special that she shared last Friday (January 17) to share their thoughts.

“Well done today. That was a beautiful moment,” commented musician Ryan Moore.

“You couldn’t have represented America any better. Very proud of you today,” a fan commented, praising her performance.

Right-wing commentator Candace Owens also sounded off in to comments. “You were amazing today,” she wrote, adding an American flag emoji.

However, not everyone was as pleased with Underwood’s inauguration performance. “Maybe the music not playing was the universe’s way to tell you to stop,” another commenter said.

“Girl, reflect on your choices,” another added, referencing her forthcoming concert special.

Unsurprisingly, many of the comments were politically motivated. Some praised her for performing at the inauguration. Others, though, let the superstar know that she had lost them as fans and followers after the performance. Regardless, no one can deny Underwood’s vocal chops.
