New England Patriots Receive Star Wide Receiver AJ Brown From Philadelphia Eagles In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Has Everyone Riled Up

A blockbuster trade that would see AJ Brown move from the Philadelphia Eagles to the New England Patriots has been proposed amid reports of the wide receiver’s disenchantment in Philly.

Brown, who has previously publicly voiced frustrations over his targets, went viral after pulling out a book and reading while on the bench during the Eagles’ win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

This was translated as another sign of frustration, given the wide receiver had made just one catch for 10 yards.

Brown has been named in plenty of trade rumors in recent times, with some of them dating back to last season. However, he signed a new deal with Philadelphia last year and has insisted that he’s keen on staying put.

Still, Savage Sports has suggested that the Eagles should deal him to the Patriots in exchange for a second-round pick.

 

The Patriots have the 38th overall pick in the second round of the upcoming draft, and plenty of teams would love to get their hands on it. But it’s still tough to see the Eagles trading Brown, especially if they go all the way this season.

Nick Sirianni Defends AJ Brown After Cameras Catch Him Reading On The Bench

As for his sideline reading, Brown explained that it had nothing to do with the game and that he had always read it during games, branding it his “recipe for success.”

Head coach Nick Sirianni also defended Brown’s actions on Tuesday, echoing the wide receiver’s claims and calling him the “best receiver” the city of Philadelphia has ever seen.

“I’m definitely OK with it,” Sirianni told 94WIP. “The crazy thing is. He’s been reading the book on the sideline for a long time. It just so happened a camera saw it this week. Some guys pray in between, some guys meditate in between. A.J. reads in between. Whatever these guys need to do to put their mind in a place where they play with great detail and great effort, I fully encourage them to do that.

“We don’t do any research, and we jump to a conclusion of, ‘Oh, he must be disgruntled,’” said the coach. “That to me is lazy. Everyone needs to figure out why he’s doing it before they jump to judgment on the man. Because the man, A.J. Brown, is a great, great, great person. The man is the best receiver, and I’ll say, without hesitation, the best receiver that this city has ever seen.

“It’s hard for me to watch when people are getting on him without doing the proper research of who the man is and what he’s doing in the first place.”

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ next playoff opponent has been decided, with the Los Angeles Rams to play them in the Divisional Round after a dominant performance against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.
