On Sunday, The Los Angeles Rams hosted the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium. As the two teams are both playoff hopefuls, there is a lot of hype around the game, which could have major standings complications later in the year.

However, everyone is instead talking about how 49ers fans have painted SoFi red, making it look like a game at Levi Stadium.

The lack of support from L.A.-based Rams fans is being called out, especially after the team moved from St. Loius in 2016.

“It’s LA, they don’t show up for losers lol. It’s waaay too much stuff to do there to watch the rams lose,” said one comment.

“Everyone makes fun of the Chargers fanbase when the Rams are basically the same,” said another.

“It’s wild to think how much money was wasted on the Rams and Chargers when all this city wanted was the Raiders,” added a third.

“This is embarrassing for LA. No reason this should ever be the case,” continued a fourth.

Of course, the 49ers already had a strong fanbase in Los Angeles, but considering the Rams just won the Super Bowl three years ago, you’d expect more support for the team.

SoFi Stadium Are Already Set To Host Another Super Bowl

Two years after SoFi Stadium was built, it hosted its first Super Bowl in 2022, with the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals competing for the Lombardi trophy.

The stadium is now already scheduled to host it again in 2027, making SoFi the venue for the biggest football game of the year twice in just five years.

Maybe by then, fans of either L.A.-based teams, the Chargers or Rams, will once again watch their home team win it all.
