Kendrick Lamar’s star-studded roster of collaborations is so long, it’s impossible to know exactly who he’ll tap to perform alongside him during his Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The 37-year-old rapper is set to take the Caesars Superdome field in New Orleans during the 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Although Kendrick was announced as the halftime performer in September 2024, the details behind the songs and singers remain a mystery.
There’s been speculation over whether Taylor Swift will pop out from the Chiefs’ box to sing “Bad Blood” with Kendrick, or if Beyoncé will make her third halftime show appearance for “Freedom” or “America Has a Problem.” And is it possible Timothée Chalamet will have something to do on Sunday? We’re weighing in on 10 superstar acts Lamar could potentially welcome onstage — ranked from most to least likely.

SZA, Kendrick’s Grand National Tour co-headliner, is the only person confirmed to appear during his Halftime Show — and he’s already hyping her up. The pair have a laundry list of hit songs they could sing together, including “All the Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack to “Luther” from his latest album GNX. They also have “30 For 30” from Lana, the deluxe version of SZA’s SOS, and “Doves in the Wind” from the singer’s debut album Ctrl.

Kendrick and Future are on three songs together, but it’s their most recent one, “Like That,” that makes a Future and Metro Boomin appearance highly likely. The track, off of Future and Metro’s collaboration album We Don’t Trust You, went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also kickstarted Kendrick’s ongoing feud with Drake after he responded to Drake and J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter,” in which the “Hotline Bling” rapper claimed there was a “big three” in hip-hop consisting of him, J. Cole and Kendrick.
In Kendrick’s “Like That” verse, he answers, “motherf— the big three, n—-, it’s just big me.” The song is both a hit and a diss — Kendrick’s modus operandi.

Kendrick’s former Top Dawg Entertainment label-mates ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul came up with him, so a reunion on one of the biggest stages of his career would be a full-circle moment. When they all signed to TDE, they formed the hip-hop supergroup Black Hippy, where they frequently appeared on each other’s songs. The four recently performed at Kendrick’s The Pop Out concert in June 2024, so we wouldn’t rule out another reunion here.

Doechii

Hot off her historic Grammys night (and amid rumors she’s opening for SZA and Kendrick on the Grand National Tour), Doechii would be the perfect act to support the two.
Kendrick has shown his support for the rising star by promoting her Grammy-winning mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “the hardest out.” Plus, she’s signed to his former label Top Dawg Entertainment.

The Weeknd

It’s been almost a decade since Kendrick and The Weeknd first worked together on “Sidewalks.” While curating the Black Panther soundtrack in 2018, Kendrick reached back out to The Weeknd to record “Pray for Me,” which became a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
The “Blinding Lights” singer is no stranger to the Halftime Show, headlining in 2021, and he just released his sixth album Hurry Up Tomorrow. Kendrick and The Weeknd performing together in 2025 would be the meeting of commercial giants.

Taylor Swift

Although the stadium would explode if Taylor Swift joined Kendrick onstage for their No. 1 hit “Bad Blood,” we’re not convinced she’ll leave the luxury suite from where she’s cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Taylor and Kendrick have never performed the song together, though, and if there was any moment to do it, it’s the Super Bowl.

Beyoncé

We wouldn’t complain if Beyoncé came out for her third Super Bowl Halftime Show. The pair have two collaborations, “Freedom” from her album Lemonade and a remix of “America Has a Problem” from Renaissance.
It would be monumental, given the two were the major winners at the Grammys on Feb. 2. Kendrick also made a surprise appearance on her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, so it’d be returning the favor. Right now, we’re leaning “no” (but would love a “yes”!).

Rihanna and Kendrick only have one song together, “Loyalty,” but it’s one of the most recognizable cuts from Kendrick’s early discography. Still, the “Umbrella” singer just headlined the Super Bowl two years ago, and before that, she hadn’t given a live performance since 2016. We’re not sure if she’ll return to the stage this soon.

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne and Kendrick are on three songs together — “Buy the World” with Mike WiLL Made-It and Future, “Colors” with Jay Rock and “Mona Lisa” — but even though the Super Bowl will be in Wayne’s hometown, he won’t be attending.
After Kendrick was revealed as the Super Bowl performer, Wayne told fans on Instagram that it “hurt” to not receive the ask to headline. In the GNX track “wacced out murals,” Kendrick seemingly addressed Wayne’s feelings by rapping, “Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down.”
Wayne then seemed to respond on X: “No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed.”

Drake and Kendrick do have three songs together: “F—–‘ Problems” with A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz, “Buried Alive Interlude” and “Poetic Justice,” but the two are currently engaged in one of the most high-profile rap beefs ever, so chances of this happening seem nonexistent. But hey, what better place to bury the hatchet than on one of the world’s biggest stages?
