Simone Biles is showing off her new ink!
On Thursday, Sept. 19, the gymnast, 27, shared an Instagram post from tattoo artist Sydney Smith of her latest tattoo on her Instagram Stories.
According to the picture, her tattoo reads “made in heaven” in all capital letters and is located on the back of her neck.
Biles teased her new ink the evening before as she shared a behind-the-scenes video of her pre-tattoo process on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Sept. 18, writing, “after show tattoos.”

In the clip, she sat in a chair as she panned her camera around the tattoo shop. Several portable square lights were in the frame, as well as a red lounge chair and a printer.
The 11-time Olympic medalist got a second tattoo during her visit that is seemingly in reference to her husband Jonathan Owens, whom she married in April 2023, reports TMZ. The second tattoo is a small “J” on her left hand, as seen in a video Smith published later Thursday.
Smith told TMZ that she first connected with Biles via social media and the two pieces took about 90 minutes to complete.
“It was a great experience, but I treat all of my clients the same. It’s always a good time getting to do what I love every day,” the tattoo artist said.

Biles has seven other tattoos, one of which is matching ink with Owens that reads “444” in reference to the motto: “4better, 4worse, 4ever,” per Popsugar. The other tattoos include “XO” on her inner lip, “Golden” on her inner left wrist, “1997” above her elbow, “and still I rise” on her collarbone and a drawing of the Olympic rings on the side of her forearm.
On Sept. 17, the gymnast showed off her latest manicure and her new blonde highlights on her Instagram Stories. The manicure consisted of classic French tips in the color pink with a shimmery chrome top coat to create a metallic finish.
Biles began her Gold Over America Tour – aka G.O.A.T. – on Sept. 16, in Oceanside, Calif. She spoke with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview before the tour, describing it as a “pop concert-style spectacle.” Biles said she is giving her body a “break” after her intense rounds at the Paris Olympics.
“Truthfully, I’ve only gone into the gym to practice a handful of times because of my schedule,” she said. “I’ve barely been home, but my body needed this break, so I’m not mad about it.”
