“When Love Was a Dream: The Heartbreaking Story of a Woman Who Loved Jon Bon Jovi”

The 38-year-old singer told the funny story of how her heart was first broken by rock star Jon Bon Jovi when she was seven or eight years old during an appearance on the “Carpool Karaoke” segment on Tuesday’s “The Late Late Show With James Corden” on CBS.

“It was the first time someone ever broke my heart,” the singer said as she described hearing the news that Bon Jovi, 55, had married his high school sweetheart Dorthea Hurley.

The singer was coming home from singing lessons when she heard the news on the radio.

“I ripped his posters off the wall and threw them out and didn’t come out of my room for days,” she said. “I was devastated.”

Years later, when she met Bon Jovi for the first time, she told him of her heartbreak. He then sent her a hilariously cute gift: a “life-size” flower arrangement and a pair of his leather pants with a note that said, “Now you can finally get into my pants.”

Pink’s husband, Cary Hart, threw the pants out the window.

“It wasn’t weird, it was a joke,” the singer said. “I thought it was really funny.”

This isn’t the first time the singer has told the story of her love towards the rock star.  In June, she shared a throwback Instagram photo of her and Bon Jovi and described how she tore his posters from her wall after he was married.

“I yelled at my poster on the wall and then removed it and put Sebastian Bach up in its place,” she captioned the photo. “I told him all of this when I met him. I think he said ‘you’re as crazy as they say.'” You have no idea, Jo.”

But both musicians are still happily married. Bon Jovi and Hurley have been married since 1989 and have four kids; Pink and Hart have been married since 2006 and have two kids.
